As is well known, the championship decisions of a racing series are only made in the last third of the season. Even though favorites have already emerged in the X30 Juniors and X30 Seniors classes in the IAME Series 2024, a lot can still happen in the last two races. The two biggest tracks on the calendar, Wackersdorf and Mülsen, are where the titles and final victories of the year will be decided. The Arena E in Mülsen, Saxony, will be the penultimate stop next weekend. After exciting races in preparation for the east german karting cup, there were some surprising results, and the possibility for surprises exists in races characterized by slipstreaming.
X30 Juniors: Will the race for the points classification remain open?
Marius Bonconseil (Ebert Motorsport) and Lars Ramaer (SIM-ON) have been involved in a very evenly matched duel in the X30 Juniors so far. While Ramaer has more victories to his name, Bonconseil recently impressed with a win in Kerpen and scored more consistently. Everything points to a close duel between these two, but the characteristics of the track in Mülsen also open the way to the top for other drivers such as Ben Götz (CV Performance Group), who impressed in the east german karting cup.
X30 seniors: preliminary decision in Mülsen?
Elia Weiss (SIM-ON) seemed unbeatable in the last three races, but the only race of the year that he was unable to win was the season opener in Mülsen. His opponents could sense their chance here, especially Torben Gröndahl (CV Performance Group), who has had optimal preparation. Jason Bralic (SIM-ON) and Phil Colin Strenge (Ebert Motorsport) are also looking for their first wins of the season.
Those who want to follow the races can look forward to a live stream, which will be available from the heats on Saturday and will also cover all super heats and finals on Sunday. Live timing will also be available and the IAME Series Germany social media channels will keep you up to date with all the latest news.
