On January 14, 2024, the Homestead-Miami Motorplex hosted
the second leg of the 2024 SKUSA Winter Series, part of the IAME Series USA
West. The competition featured talented participants, daring drivers, and
roaring IAME engines. Here are the results and highlights of the key categories
in the race.
Mini Swift: Simone and Truchot in a Tight Battle
In the Mini Swift category, the young Rocco Simone showcased
his talent by winning the race with a total time of 18:55.939. Alessandro
Truchot came in second, just 0.464 seconds behind. Simone dominated the race
with the best lap time of 1:02.900 and a top speed of 40.064 mph.
KA100 Junior: Ardiles Asserts Dominance
Diego Ardiles claimed victory in the KA100 Junior category
with a total time of 18:23.317, demonstrating his skill and speed. Enzo
Vidmontiene followed just 4.012 seconds behind. Ardiles recorded the best lap
time of 1:00.670, reaching a top speed of 41.536 mph.
KA100 Senior: Richards Dominates the Competition
Ivanna Richards stood out in the KA100 Senior category,
winning with a total time of 18:53.412. Donovan Bonilla finished second, 5.602
seconds behind. Richards set the best lap time of 1:02.426, achieving a top
speed of 40.368 mph.
Micro Swift: Burgess and Orioli in an Exciting Duel
Zayne Burgess won the Micro Swift category with a total time
of 4:31.165, followed by Santiago Orioli just 0.372 seconds behind. Burgess
recorded the best lap time of 1:08.455, with a top speed of 36.813 mph.
KA100 Master: Rovelo and Mier at the Helm
Ruben Rovelo triumphed in the KA100 Master category with a
total time of 11:39.504. Miguel Mier finished second, 4.475 seconds behind.
Rovelo set the best lap time of 1:02.859, reaching a top speed of 40.09 mph.
X30 Junior: Ardiles Dominates Again
Diego Ardiles continued his winning streak in the X30 Junior
category, winning with a total time of 11:00.120. Turner Brown came in second,
4.001 seconds behind. Ardiles recorded the best lap time of 59.884, with a top
speed of 42.081 mph.
Pro/Mas Shifter: Formal Triumphs in a Spectacular Duel
Danny Formal won the Pro/Mas Shifter category with a total
time of 11:39.914, followed by Matheus Morgatto at 10.191 seconds behind.
Formal set the best lap time of 57.519, with a top speed of 43.812 mph.
X30 Senior: De Tullio at the Helm
Alessandro De Tullio triumphed in the X30 Senior category
with a total time of 11:46.434. Brandon Carr finished second, 1.771 seconds
behind. De Tullio set the best lap time of 58.776, with a top speed of 42.875
mph.
